Refund policy

14-day right of withdrawal (consumers)

If you shop with us as a consumer, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it, for any reason and without justification, as provided by EU and Finnish consumer protection law.

To cancel, email us at hello@meliette.com within 14 days of receiving your order. Tell us your order number and that you wish to cancel — no special form is needed, but you may also use the statutory model withdrawal form, available from us on request.

How to return

Please return the items within 14 days of telling us you wish to cancel, to:

You are responsible for the cost of the return shipment. We recommend using a tracked service, as the items are your responsibility until they reach us. Items should be unused and in their original condition; you may open the packaging to inspect the products, but if their value is diminished by handling beyond what is needed to examine them, we may deduct the corresponding amount from your refund.

Refunds

We will refund you within 14 days of receiving your cancellation notice, using your original payment method. The refund includes the original delivery cost at our cheapest standard rate (any extra cost of an express option is not refunded). We may withhold the refund until we have received the items back or you have provided proof of sending them.

Damaged, defective or wrong items

Please inspect your order on arrival. If anything is damaged, defective or not what you ordered, contact us at hello@meliette.com — a photo helps us resolve it quickly. We will make it right at no cost to you, by replacement or refund including shipping costs. This is your statutory right and applies in addition to the 14-day withdrawal right.

Exchanges

The fastest way to exchange is to cancel and return the item and place a new order.

Wholesale orders

The 14-day right of withdrawal applies to consumers only. Wholesale (B2B) orders are governed by section 8 of our Terms of Service. In short: please inspect your order on arrival and report any visible damage, defects or discrepancies within 14 days of receipt at hello@meliette.com. Hidden defects that could not reasonably be found on inspection can be reported within a reasonable time of discovering them, up to 12 months from delivery.
